He is survived by: his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Matthews (Jenkins); his stepson David James Bobalik; his brother Donald Matthews (Sally); his sibling's children, Suzanne Wright (Tom) and Kevin Matthews; and his great-nephew Joshua Wright.
