He is survived by: his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Matthews (Jenkins); his stepson David James Bobalik; his brother Donald Matthews (Sally); his niece Suzanne Wright (Tom); his nephew Kevin Matthews; and his great-nephew Joshua Wright.
