He was predeceased by: his wife Betty; his son David; and his siblings, Joseph, Charles and Clare.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy "Tim" (Christina Nolan), Christy (Terra Nolan), Amy (Dale "Bud" Andrews) and Carrie (Jack Hartle). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
