He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Margaret; and his sister Frances Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Carol Spear; his son Kenneth Spear (Lee Ann); his grandson K. J. Spear; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Span and Richard Forney. He is also survived by one niece and two nephews.
