She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Schmiedel and Eva Schmiedel (Wilcox); her husband Marion Eugene "Gene" Burleigh; her brother Duane Schmiedel; her sister-in-law Lori Schmiedel; and her friend Dixie Weldon.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shelly Burleigh, Debra Burleigh and Holly Stimmell (Fred); and her pet Barney of Russell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
