It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Cecil Powell of Saegertown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 9, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence H. Powell and Edna B. Powell (Ellis); his wife Marian L. Pearce; and his siblings, Edward Powell and Leota Sybrandt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Judy Mook (Ken) of Saegertown, Sharon Schlosser (Frank) of Saegertown and Deborah Burke (John) of Berlin, MD; his grandchildren, Carter Mook (Josie), Aimee DeLizio (Jim), Chad Schlosser (Judy), Lacey Maze (TJ) and Stephanie Burke; his great grandchildren, Courtney, Dominic DeLizio, Doreen Mook, Madelyn, Joseph and Andrew Maze; his stepgrandson John Douglas Burke; and his stepgreat-grandson Logan Coker.
Due to Covid, private visitation will be held at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD STREET, SAEGERTOWN. Cecil will be privately laid to rest next to his wife, Marian, in Blooming Valley Cemetery, with Military Honors by Vietnam Veterans Post #52 and US Navy Detail, and with Rev. James Riley of First Baptist Church, Townville, officiating.
