He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Wendel and Bernetta Schreiber Wendel; and his son Gregory Wendel. He is survived by : his wife Christine Miles Wendel; his friend Clem; his children, Connie Wendel (Jason A. Smith) of St. Marys and Brandon Wendel of St. Marys; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Dylan Pontious and Colton Wendel; and his brother Larry Wendel (Anita) of St. Marys.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation, 355 Lexington Ave, 15th Floor, New York, NY 10017 or to the Elk County Humane Society, E. Eschbach Road, St. Marys, PA 15857.
