She was predeceased by : her parents, Harold Thorpe and Constance Burnham Carswell of Bryn Athyn; and her siblings, Mary Alice Carswell, Elaine C. Bown and Louis Carswell.

She is survived by : her husband Stephen; her children, Dr. Philip Heilman (Mely), Glenda Wulfsohn (Bradley), Dr. Carl B. Heilman (Carolyn), Stephen J. Heilman (Alison) and Karen H. Muth; her grandchildren, Isabelle Heilman, Philip M. Heilman, Bryan Wulfsohn (Brittni), Garrett Wulfsohn (Jaclyn), Kari Wulfsohn, Curtis Wulfsohn, Alexandra Heilman, Erika Heilman, Elise Riggin (Ben), Jonathan Heilman, Maxwell Heilman, Annika Heilman and Hayden Muth; and her great grandchildren, Bear Wulfsohn, Luke Wulfsohn, Raquel Wulfsohn and Aria Wulfsohn.
