He was predeceased by: his parents, Adelbert B., Sr. and Bertha Covey (Shafer); his wife Patricia; his daughter Carolyn; his siblings, Richard and Dawn; and his parents-in-law, Carolyn and Jesse Mosier.
He is survived by: his children, Lynda Covey of Waverly, NY, Del, Beth Covey, Michelle Samuel, Shelley, Daniel Perry of Spencer, NY and Jeff Covey of Waverly, NY; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Tony, Katie, Beau, Ben and Beverly; his sister Ginny; and his siblings-in-law, Al Greiner and Luveral Covey of Johnson City, NY.. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
