He was predeceased by: his parent Milton Hernley; his siblings, Sherri Murray and Jacques "Jock" Hernley; and his siblings' children, Heather Coleman and Nicholas Hernley.
He is survived by: his parent Vivian Hernley (Lambing); his wife Sharon E. Hernley (Keegan); his son Randall Hernley (Shanelle) of Scottdale; his grandchildren, Adam, Brenden and Chase; Joni Hernley (Hall), Raymond Keegan (Diane Whipkey-Keegan), Mary Eamon (Doug), Thomas Keegan, Martin Keegan (Ellen Fisher) and Rose Ann Matthews. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
