He was predeceased by: his parent George Buttner; and his brothers, George J. Buttner and Robert K. Buttner. He is survived by: his wife Mary Margaret Kearney; his parent Helen Leyh Buttner; and his sons, Frederick G. Buttner (Linda), Paul C. Buttner and Scranton.
