He was predeceased by: his wife Madeline Scism; his parents, Thomas Dimick and Helen Swanson Dimick; his daughter Helen; and his cousin Rosemarie.

He is survived by: his children, Joseph Minor Sr., Dirk Dimick, Donald Dimick, Gerald J. Dimick Jr., Tina Zellie and Brenda Judge. He is also survived by many many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
