He was predeceased by: his wife Grace Alice Gibbons; his parents, Harold Francis and Margaret Anderson Gillern; his stepmother Pauline Clarke; and his siblings, Suzanne Sullivan, Bill and Terry.
He is survived by: his children, Marigrace Loftus of Dunmore, Margi Gillern of Dunmore and Tom (Kristen); his grandchildren, Joseph W. Loftus (Juliette), Ireland, Shane Gillern, Nora Gillern and Brooklyn; his sister Sonnie McHale; and his sister-in-law Birdie Gillern of Rochester, NY. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
All those attending the mass are asked to go directly to the church, and kindly follow current guidelines of wearing a mask and social distancing.
