He was predeceased by: his brothers, George "Butch" Hill and Paul Hill. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Mahoney; his children, James Hill Jr. (Danelle), Shannon Telesco (Dominick), April Hill (David Lesh) and Amanda Hill (William Woodard); his siblings, Jeffrey, Jerry Hill, Lisa Auer (Michael), Linda Cardona (John), Steven, Randy Hill, Diane Kahanic and Michael Ranakoski; and his stepmother Julie Hill.
