With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph John Arcuri Sr. (Scranton, Pennsylvania), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 16, 2025 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Williams and Anthony Arcuri; and his siblings, Mary MacDonald and Tony Arcuri. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy (Bernavage); his sons, Dr. Joseph Arcuri Jr., Dean Arcuri and Greg Arcuri; his children-in-law, Werner, Paul and Kelly; his grandchildren, Olivia, Iris, Landry and Lilliana; his siblings, Ralph Arcuri and Tina Shuker; his sister-in-law Marie Kasulis; and his siblings' children, Bill Kasulis, Jeanine Kasulis and Marilyn MacDonald.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Peter and Paul Church (1309 W Locust St, Scranton, PA 18504).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to Allied Services Hospice Unit, 511 Morgan Highway, Scranton, PA 18508.
