He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Purta and Laura Purta; his daughter Lisa Purta; and his siblings, Robert Purta and Romayne Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Leonard Jr. (Catherine), Lori Bohr, Traci Lis (Michael), Mellody Valencia (Juan) and Noelle Perreira (Neil); his grandchildren, Keith, Noah, Vincent, Colten, Madeline, Miguel and Lilia; his son-in-law Robert Bohr; and his pet Beatrice. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
