It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilla Caterino (Scranton, Pennsylvania), who passed away on March 28, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Michael J. Caterino; her parents, Michael Gibbons and Bertha Bowden Gibbons; her grandson Michael Zangardi; her son-in-law Armand Zangardi; and her siblings, Emily, Jean, Eileen, Donald and Kenneth Gibbons.
She is survived by: her children, Addie Smith (Tom), Patricia Zangardi and Guy Caterino (Joanne); her grandchildren, Sherri Jones (Mike), Virginia, Dr. Jeffrey Caterino (Stephanie), A. J. Zangardi (Stephanie), Jefferson Twp, Scott Villani (Corina) and Gina Lewis (Atty); her great grandchildren, Colette Jones, Pia, Mira Belle, Pauly Zangardi, William, Nicholas, Corinne Caterino, Scotty, Veronica, Giada Villani, Luca and Rocco Lewis; her sister Shirley Thomas; her brother-in-law Sal Caterino (Ruth); and her friends, Alberta Pantle, Carl Cotterick, Carole Lameo and Joan Simpson. She is also survived by Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Ann's Basilica or the donor's favorite charity.
