With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Matthew John Loftus Sr. of Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 19, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Aloysius Loftus and Mary Loftus; his children, Lisa Murphy of Carmel, Ind., Matthew J. Loftus Jr. (Jennifer) of Scranton, Robert W. Loftus of Clarks Summit and Jeffrey M. Loftus (Ana) of Raleigh, N. C.; his grandchildren, Max Murphy, Emma Loftus, William Loftus and Cecilia Loftus; and his sisters, Patricia Vols (John), Ann Hammond, Kathleen Hueg and Mary Phillips. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
