He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Howard and Dorothy Murray Howard; his brother Tom Howard; his niece Kathleen Howard; and his sister-in-law Helen Otto Fisher.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly Byron (Gerard) and Karen McHale (James "Micker); his grandchildren, Caitlin Cali (Dean) of Dunmore, Jimmy "Shamus" of Dunmore and William McHale of Dunmore; his nieces and nephews, Thomas Howard (Michelle), Richard Fisher, Barbara Dempsey, Jill DeLappi and Holly Donovan; and his siblings-in-law, Billy Donovan (Judy), Barbara O'Hara and Eileen Howard. He is also survived by great-niece and great-nephews.
