He was predeceased by : his father Abraham Leatherman; and his siblings, Wilmer, Abraham, Russell, Walter Leatherman, Evelyn Lear, Margaret VanBuskirk, Hannah Hermann, Catherine "Cass" Godshall, Grace Ellis and Esther Ellis.

He is survived by : his wife Delores Leatherman (Cerwensky). He is also survived by his wife.
