He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Costea and Mary Vulcan Costea; his wife Lois Sotus Costea; his children, Desiree Dejulia and Charles Costea Jr.; and his brother Victor Costea Jr..

He is survived by: his daughter Nicole Costea Watkins (Anthony) of Sharpsville; his granddaughter Aliyah Dejulia; his sisters, Anne Lymber (Pete) of Boardman and Laura Smith (Jaime) of Florida; and his former wife Stacey Costea of Farrell.
