She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Peterson and Ellen Sophia Peterson (Dahl); her husband Thorvald Osthus; her siblings, Justin Peterson (Agnes), Marvin Peterson (Audrey), Verna Bladow, Myrtle Risdall (Clayton) and Margaret Hillestad (Ray); and her son-in-law Darryl Brody.
She is survived by: her children, Ellen Brody of Chesterfield, MO, Ron Osthus (Valerie Pietra Franco), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Bob Osthus (Cheryl), Harlan Osthus, Jefferson and Colleen Raye (David); her grandchildren, Donna Olson of Warrenton, MO, Michael Olson, Peter Osthus (Carolina Osthus-Topet), Angela Bjornson (Leif), Minneapolis and Jonathan Osthus; her great grandchildren, Elliot and Lucy Bjornson; and her sister Alda Twite (Lyle) of Cloquet, MN..
