He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Kay Cropp; and his siblings, Martha Smith, Hez, Bernard, Tracy, Denver, Argil and Arzie McIntyre.
He is survived by: his children, Connie Rickard (Robert) of Mercer and Greg Spencer of East Liverpool, OH; and his brother Carl McIntyre. He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
