He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Ginther and Ella Mae Boggs Ginther; his spouse Catherine Porterfield; his daughter Robin Ginther; and his siblings, Robert, Donald, Kenneth, Jerry Ginther and Doris Snell.

He is survived by: his children, Lisa (Dave Ferencik) of Sharon, PA and James (Patty Ginther); his grandchildren, Nawny McGranahan (Dave), Benjamin Ferencik (Melissa), Sydney Ginther and Michael Ginther; and his great grandchildren, Kelsie and Justin McGranahan.
