Shughart of Newville; his siblings, Phyllis Rynard of Carlisle, Dorothy Wolfe of Shippensburg and Larry Shughart of Carlisle; his daughter-in-law Stephanie Shughart of Herford, NC; his grandchildren, Margot Anderson of Alexandria, VA and David Swartz of Virginia Beach, VA; and his son Randall D. Shughart. He was also cherished by two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
