He was predeceased by: his parents, Veronica Donahue McKee and Joseph McKee; his granddaughter Sophia Rose Metro; his great grandchild Brian Grande; his brother Robert McKee; and his brother-in-law Walter Nelson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dr. Amy McKee Kaufman (Scott), Beth, Missy Klaric (Frank), Tara Metro (Gene II) and Sharon; his grandchildren, Jeremy Grande (Jamie), Amber Stark (Casey), Alyssa Miller, Teague, Maiya Elliott, Ainsley, Camille Klaric, Miranda, Gene III, Nate and Saige Metro; his great grandchildren, Jeremy Grande, Audrey, Selina and Evie Stark; and his sister Norene Diegelmann (Karl). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
