She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd Gilson and Florence Kitch Gilson; her husband Howard Shaw; her brother Duane Gilson; and her nephew Tom Gilson.
She is survived by: her niece Jean Sankey (Chad); her great-niece Kate Woodhouse (Jon); her great-nephews, David Sankey (Cinthya) and Paul Sankey (Carrie); her niece-in-law Linda Gilson; and her daughters, Laura Houston (Matthew) and Emily Jones (Ben). She is also survived by 5 great great-nieces and nephews.
