He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbara (Cruikshank) and Paul "Stump" Athey, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Feeser-Athey; his sisters, Sondra Crumbacher (Artie) of Williamsport, MD and Cindy Bateman (Lee) of Brookhaven, PA.; and his aunt Roberta "Bobbi" Kappel of Belair, MD. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
