He was predeceased by: his father Hugo Sarmiento, Sr.; and his brother Armando "Butchy" Sarmiento. He is survived by: his mother Ines Garcia; his wife Bessie Sarmiento; his children, Heather Bergensten (Troy), Catherine Solis (Fred), Erin Sarmiento (Brian Brady) and William Kays (Angela Kimble); and his siblings, Gilda Biggs (Danny) and Fabiola Sarmiento. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
