He was predeceased by : his parents, Oscar T. Nelson and Erla May Dyne Nelson. He is survived by : his wife Joan L. Switzer; his children, Michael R. Nelson (Candice) of Smethport, Steven S. Nelson (Lisa) of Smethport, Thomas D. Nelson (Sonia) of Bradford and Yvonne D. Simms (Max) of Gifford, PA.; and his grandchildren, Becky, Nicole, Emily, Bryce, Danielle, Thomas, Jr., Tim, Andria, Joshua, Tiffany, Megan and Max, Jr..
