Kathryn R. Gates Kanosky Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kathryn R. Gates Kanosky of Smithfield, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 26, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Walter Gates and Dorothy Dennis Gates; her husband John Kanosky, Jr. of Smithfield; her children, John C. Kanosky of Smithfield, Christina Fletcher (Brian Staley) of Smithfield and Elizabeth Kanosky of Latrobe; her grandchildren, Ky Fletcher and Dominick Fletcher; and her sister Janet Gates (Thom Boynton) of Gloversville.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Ferguson Funeral Home (78 Main St, Smithfield, PA 15478). A prayer will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Cyril Methodius R. C. Church (50 N Morgantown St, Fairchance, PA 15436).
