He was predeceased by : his wife Josephine Ann Whitley. He is survived by : his children, Robert C. Whitley III, Jacqueline Hover and Abigail Whitley; his grandchildren, Robert C. Whitley IV, Justin Whitley, Austin Whitley, Abigail Gable, Allison Whitley and Juila Onesti; and his friend William J. Lahr IV.
