He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dunn and Isabelle Dunn (Green); his brother James Dunn; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Dunn and James Herdman.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Herdman; his sons, James, John (Michelle), Richard and Michael Dunn; his grandchildren, Kaylin, Kassidy, Christian and John Michael Dunn; his sister-in-law Sally Cronmiller; and his brother Trucking. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
