She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse H. Ziegler and Mary Darkes Ziegler; her former husbands, William John Bean, Jr. and Dan E. Hartzell; and her husband Merlin L. Gnegy.
She is survived by: her children, Fred Bean (Ed Burau), Lois Charles (late Mike) of Winston-Salem, NC, Sandra Miller (Craig) and Althea Brown; her grandchildren, Kelsey Hurst (Jon), Amanda Knepp (Robert), Alex Brown (Megan), Sara Charles, Aaron Miller and Caleb Miller (Elizabeth Amory); her great grandchildren, Christopher, Evelyn Hurst, Mina Knepp, Theo and Emmett Brown; her siblings, Levi Ziegler (Helen) and Virginia Sandifer of Altoona; and also, James (Mildred Hartzell), Timothy Hartzell Champion (Karen Rimmel), Merlin, Debbie Hoffman (Ronald) of Fountain Inn, SC, Linda Stahlman (Paul), Beverly Whited (Rodney), Russell, Susan Coughenour (John), Berlin, Kevin Gnegy (Jennifer) and Steve Barron (Jennifer). She is also survived by many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Sipesville Church of the Brethren (711 Sipesville Rd, Somerset, PA 15501). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sipersville Church of the Brethren (711 Sipesville Rd, Somerset, PA 15501). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Bunker Hill E. C. Cemetery (2208 PA-72, Lebanon, PA 17046).
