He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary; his children, Brian (Tabitha Zane), Kellie Flanagan-Ovington (Kevin), Barbara Flanagan (Keith Taylor), Max, Megan, Vincent, Sean, Scottie, Liam, Riley and Lexi; his great grandchild Aiden; and his grandson Jack. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the Flanagan family has requested donations in Bill's name be made to Shriner's, Office of Development, 2900 Rock Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
