She was predeceased by : her parents, Vera Miles and Herbert Sowers; her sister Joyce Sowers Berkey; her former life partners, James W. Wright MD and George B. Bender; her husband Shee Y. Chin (James); her son-in-law John Flores; and her stepdaughter Margaret Bender Barta (Bunny).

She is survived by : her children, Laura Wright Tawney (Terry), Debra Wright Akin (Shaun), John W. Wright (Kenda) and Jennifer Wright Flores; her grandchildren, Heather, Laura, Olivia, Lily, Anna-Claire, Sarita, Daniel, Matthew, Abigail, Jonathan, Lindsey, Anna, April, Andrew, Lorrie and Travis; and her great grandchildren, James, Demian, Meadow, Cedar, Liam, Ben and Lucy. She is also survived by her parents and James Wright MD, the father of her children.
