He is survived by: his parents, Adrian Dykhuis and Gertrude Holtzer Dykhuis; his wife Sally Dykhuis Brewer; his daughter Lauren Dykhuis of Alexandria, VA; his stepdaughter Meg Cole (Will) of Arlington, VA.; his brother Peter Dykhuis (Carrie); and his nephews, Eric of Raleigh, NC and Graham of Raleigh, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Penn State Arboretum.
