He was predeceased by: his parent Harry Spearly; and his daughter Susan Spearly. He is survived by: his parent Ethel Spearly; his spouse Elsie Hoy; his children, Linda Zubler (Dennis) of Hershey and Scott Spearly (Lydia Snyder) of State College; his grandchildren, Jason Zubler, Kiley Peters and Zachary Spearly; his great grandchildren, Laurel Zubler, Anece Zubler, Kylynn Peters and Anabelle Peters; and his nephew Michael Wolford (Jeanne).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Buffalo Run Valley United Methodist Church (GBRVUMC) building fund, 1667 Buffalo Run Road, Bellefonte, PA 16823.
