He is survived by: his parent Chuck Tanner; his children, Matt Tanner (Jasmyn) of San Diego, CA, Julie Lanigan (James) of Warwick, NY and Lauren Kocher (Matt) of Pittsburgh, PA; his grandchildren, Ethan, Calvin, Ryan, Luke, Bennett, Anna and Asa; his siblings, Brent Tanner (Tammi) and Bruce Tanner (Kim); and his former wife Karen Brandt.
