We are sad to announce that on October 9, 2021, at the age of 89, Mary Cherney Schmidt of State College, Pennsylvania, born in Forest City, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Rudolph Cherney and Liguori Fleming Cherney; her husband Frank W Schmidt; and her children, Gregory Schmidt, David Schmidt, Catherine Schmidt Snyder and Mark Schmidt. She was also cherished by nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's name to Our Lady of Victory Catholic School.
