With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jessie Sharpe (Steelton, Pennsylvania), born in High Point, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 21, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Louis Richard Sowell and Alease Marion Jones Sowell; her friend Paula Dunbar; her children, Martin (Nicola), Tracey and Jennifer; her grandchildren, Samara, Declan, Zachary and Lance; her great grandchild Ocean; her sister Rachel Carnegie; and her siblings-in-law, Robert Scott, Dorothy Thomas and Lis Parker. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home (704 N Front St, Steelton, PA 17113). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in her honor to the Harrisburg Humane Society, 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
