With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Rose (Mrljak) Lescanec (Steelton, Pennsylvania), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 18, 2025 at the age of 97. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mrljak and Catherine Ribaric Mrljak; and her husband Edward Lescanec. She is survived by: her siblings, Anthony, John, Michael, Joseph, Nicholas Mrljak, Katherine Furjanic, Amelia Mrljak, Barbara Zapcic, Helen Culina and Pauline Labashousky. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great -nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services (357 S Harrisburg St, Oberlin, PA 17113). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church (815 S 2nd St, Steelton, PA 17113).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, 815 S. Second St., Steelton, PA 17113.
