He was predeceased by : his parents, Melvin Shelton and Mildred (Clarkson); and his sister Mary. He is survived by : his brother-in-law Eddie; his wife Arlene (Trykowski); his children, Anthony Shelton (Stephanie), Michael Shelton (Jennifer), Daniel Shelton (April) and Jennifer Fiorenza (Andrew); and his siblings, Edward Shelton, Pat, Gloria and Boyd. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that donations in Melvin's memory can be sent to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at https: //http://www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org to donate online or to see the address to mail in a contribution.
