He was predeceased by : his parents, Edwin P. Slaymaker and Dorothy M. Slaymaker (Russell); his son William; his grandchildren, Hunter Rey and Skye; and his siblings, Linda Sue Slaymaker, Dorothy Prokay, John "General" R. Slaymaker, Sr. and Edwin "Ed" P. Slaymaker III.

He is survived by : his children, Donald Arment, Richard Peters, Ann Emerich, Shira Slaymaker and Barbara Steen. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
