It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Jacob Rentschler in Strausstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin N. Rentschler and Esther M. Rentschler (Werner); and his sister Nancy W. Swan. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Lee Rentschler (Pugliese); his siblings, Audrey L. Rentschler Waldman (late William B. Waldman) of Doylestown and Rodney M. (Carol A.); his brother-in-law Bruce C. (Julia Swan) of Bethlehem; and his siblings' children, Robert B. (Shari Swan), Winifred L. Swan, Megan E. Rentschler and Hilary C. Rentschler.
Viewing will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (3300 Kutztown Rd, Reading, PA 19605). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Epler's Church Cemetery (1151 W Leesport Rd, Leesport, PA 19533-9323). A burial will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at the Epler's Cemetery (1151 W Leesport Rd, Leesport, PA 19533-9323).
