She was predeceased by : her parents, Junious Barnes and Minnie Barnes (Winckler); her son Aaron S. Reid; her granddaughter Michelle; and her siblings, William Barnes, Martha Headley, Raymond Barnes, Roger Barnes and Oliver Barnes.

She is survived by : her boyfriend Clarence Wigfall Jr.; her children, Arthena Mays of New Castle, George Reid Jr. of Long Pond and Marcus T. Reid of Woodbridge; and her siblings, Dolores Leonard, Oliva L. Barnes, Michele Green, Preston Barnes and Gerald Barnes. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
