He was predeceased by: his spouse Mary Louise Barnes (Loomis); his parent Howard Barnes; and his brother Howard Barnes, Jr.. He is survived by: his parent Evelyn Barnes (Knight); his children, David Barnes (Colette) of Arnold, MD, James Barnes of Allentown and Cynthia Stine (Charles) of Colorado; his grandchildren, Allison of Allentown, Eric of Wind Gap and Melissa of Colorado; and his great grandchild Rylie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
