He was predeceased by: his parent Carl Covington; and his siblings, Carl Covington, Jr., Mattie Julia Brown, Sarah Harriet Covington, Bettye Geneva Denman, Marion Grace Stewart Mendes and Heddy Elizabeth Covington.
He is survived by: his parent Odessa Covington; his wife Daisy Covington; his daughter Marilyn Perez (Alberto) of Viola Covington; his grandchildren, Michael Tucker Bumpers Jr., Isa Simmons (Gavin), Aaron Perez (Andrea) and Leonard Terry Washington, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Michael Tucker Bumpers III, Chace Myles Simmons, Analena Sofia, Benico Alberto Quinonez, Aniyah Inez Perez and Avery James Perez; and his siblings, Doris Vivian C. Covington, Odessa Lenora Kelley, Shirley Marie Byrd (Robert), David Curtis Covington (Darleen) and Minnie Pinkney. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.
