He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Bensinger and Elizabeth Bensinger (Childs); his son Robert M. Bensinger; and his brothers, Earl and Edward Bensinger.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah A. Bensinger of Schuylkill Haven, Diane M. Miller (James) of Delano and Lori J. Scintilla (Nick) of Drums; and his grandchildren, Frank, Kevin, Steven (Renee), Kerilyn, Janelle, James, Jr., Jolene, Zackary (Missy), Maegan, Sean, Justyn, Justin, Travis, Robert, Jr., Joshua and Jacob. He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren.
