“It was an honor and pleasure to help out Ray and his kids. I will still reflect fondly on the times he spent in Boy Scout Troop 1 and afterwards. He genuinely cared about those around him and I’m honored that he considered me family. He used to tell me he loved me like I was his son when I picked up Ryan to go driving, or grab groceries, or just hang out. I always had trouble saying it back, but I hope he knows that it really did mean a lot to me.”
