He is survived by: his daughter Sharon Trate; his son-in-law Tim; his son Scott Trate of Temple; his sister Viola Weidner; his grandson Jason Trate; and his great grandchildren, Mia Trate, Lexi, Ellie and Rowyn. He is also survived by pet an animal.
